Programs & Services

The Homestead is wheelchair accessible and accepts applications of women who are on a stable methadone dose (of 100 ml of less).

Within the first month of the program, women get to know their peers and become familiar with the program. Following this month, the women may choose to either move to another recovery house or commit to an additional 3 month period to complete the Support Recovery Program at the Homestead. The Homestead also has 8 beds for Second Stage Housing (Independent living) available.

Based on the Helping Women Recover Materials by Dr. Stephanie Covington, the Support Recovery program focuses on the following modules: Self, Relationships, Sexuality and Spirituality. The Homestead promotes peer support and offers individual and group counseling in addition to 12 step programming, life skills training, physical activities, relapse prevention and spiritual care. Within these programs, each woman will develop goals to prepare for Independent Living.
