Description

Rising Sun CRF is a community residential facility located in a residential area of the newly developing downtown Central City area of Surrey, B.C. Rising Sun is within walking distance of major transportation corridors, many community amenities and resources including the North Surrey Recreation Centre, Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre, Surrey Memorial Hospital, Central City Shopping Centre, Surrey Public Library, Simon Fraser University and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The beautiful Green Timbers Urban Forest is only a five minute walk away and offers over 452 acres of wetlands, lakes, a fishing dock, grassland meadows and nature trails all nestled within a second growth forest. Completed in 2015, the Rising Sun facility features a 25 bed total CRF capacity on our first two floors along with transitional and affordable housing on floors three to six. Of the 25 available CRF beds, 21 are in single rooms and there are 2 double wheelchair accessible rooms. While both programs offer a wide range of comprehensive service to our residents, our Ambro Program specializes in a more enhanced service for those residents requiring extra assistance in various aspects of their reintegration. Referrals are made through CSC or by potential residents making application by letter to the CRF Managers.
