Programs & Services
Program based on Post Traumatic Stress, with emphasis on seeking safety. Abstinence based model, with zero tolerance of use of alcohol or drugs. First 30 days includes programming, with help and encouragement to find employment or schooling after 30 days. SAM links clients with services needed and available in the community.
Description
Southern Alcare Manor is a 25 bed facility providing services to adults dealing with addictions to alcohol, drugs and gambling. Preference is given to clients seeking services for these issues.

- Exclusions Disabilities prohibiting use of stairs; romantic/intimate relationships with other residents.
- Criteria Must be adult, clean and sober at least 5 days.

Community Involvement
Unless gambling addicted, residents of SAM participate in the Lethbridge Community Bingo Association, raising funds for SAM. SAM is a registered charity, and fundraising provides a portion of our revenues. Recreation opportunities are provided at least monthly, and involvement of community stakeholders is fostered.
