Programs & Services

Meewasinota completes a Case Plan within 30 days or a resident’s arrival. Our 1 to 1 counseling sessions are tailored to an individuals needs based on that Case Plan. Meewasinota staff works along side all of our residents to establish and meet goals that they set for the duration of their stay and onward.

We operate on the belief that we are the bridge between the institution and the community. As such, we work towards connecting our clientele with community resources rather than bringing them into our facility. We operate the Centre with a home-like atmosphere with the hope that all cultures feel welcome.

Meewasinota CRF

Description

The Mission of Meewasinota CRF is to create a safe and protective environment that provides each resident with an opportunity to successfully reintegrate back into their families and community in a holistic manner.

Meewasinota is a 36 bed co-ed facility near the downtown heart of Saskatoon. All rooms are private with shared common areas and bathrooms. Meewasinota accepts clientele from all walks of life and is sensitive to all aspects of an individual's reintegration journey. We encourage and promote healthy lifestyles where living experiences are used as learning resources. Residents work towards achieving a healthy balance of values and integrate these principles into their decision making, thinking, relationships, problem solving and roles in family and work.

Meewasinota has visiting hours set around our meal times. Guests are welcome for meals but pre-planning is required.

All individuals benefit from access to our cultural room as well as spiritual advisors for both Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal residents.

Meewasinota residents can access our deck, recreation room as well as passes to the YMCA.

Meewasinota is close to many services our residents access including: Saskatoon Parole, a medical clinic, pharmacies, cultural venues such as White Buffalo Lodge, and Saskatoon's downtown bus hub.
