Hart House

Description

Opening in 1978, Hart House is a residential centre that offers counselling, guidance, encouragement, support and cognitive/behavioural programming to those individuals who have come into conflict with the law and who seek to change their life in a pro-social direction.

John Howard Society provides a variety of cognitive/behavioural programming addressing the criminogenic needs of its residents. As well Hart House is a referral source for the residents to other relevant programming offered in the community, addressing re-integration issues.

In an effort to ensure public safety and help reduce the risk of criminal relapse, Hart House exercises close, 24-hour supervision and engages in frequent case monitoring among our professional staff, parole officers, community agencies and residents.
