Coverdale Centre Community Residential Facility

Description

The mandate of the Coverdale Centre for Women Inc. is to provide a home- like setting to Provincial and Federal women offenders and low income women who have expressed a need for residential assistance in adjusting to the community.

The home provides a caring environment where the resident will receive guidance, counselling, supervision, monitoring and therapeutic interventions, to assist in overcoming barriers to successful reintegration.

The Coverdale Day Centre extends programs and services to women in the general community. Women can participate in self-development programs, counseling and we attempt to meet the needs of the women who enter our doors. As well Coverdale Centre is a referral source for the residents to other relevant programming offered in the community, addressing re-integration issues.

In an effort to ensure public safety and help reduce the risk of criminal relapse, Coverdale Centre exercises close, 24-hour supervision and engages in frequent case monitoring among our professional staff, parole officers, community agencies and residents.
