CASE MANAGEMENT

  • Institution Visit (In Reach) to facilitate the transition from institution life to the community.
  • Service Planning through a targeted case management strategy for every resident.
  • Discharge Planning through community referrals for housing and basic necessities.

CORE PROGRAMMING

  1. 12 step programs (AA, NA, GA)
  2. YMCA subsidized membership

RESIDENT SERVICES

  • Employment Assistance through daily job bank posting, resume help and referral to the CSC Employment Counselor and to Corcan Community Industries Inc.
  • Transportation Assistance through free public transit pass for work purpose until first pay check.
  • Tax Preparation Services throughout the year.
  • Resources Access Center through hosting a Findmyway Community Resource Center.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

  • Visitor Log to ensure safety of residents and staff.
  • Video Surveillance of outside perimeter of house.
  • Alarm system.
Cannell House

Description

Cannell House’s mandate is to provide a safe, structured environment that assist in the successful community re-integration of offenders who seek to embrace non-criminal, pro-social lifestyles.

AHS adds value in this process by maintaining a secure home environment for residents while assisting them with various treatment and supervisory programs that are geared towards positive social behaviors, life skills, motivation and productivity.

In an effort to ensure public safety and help reduce the risk of criminal relapse, AHS exercises close, 24-hour supervision and engages in frequent case monitoring among our professional staff, parole officers, community agencies and residents.

  • Criteria Support from institution Case Management Team. Assessed on case by case basis.

Application Process

All applications for residency at Cannell House are received via the institutional Case Management Team.

Community Involvement

Downtown Moncton Security Roundtable: An active participant with other business owners and community groups in an effort to keep the downtown area safe.
